30 April 2008: Big Brown's trainer Richard Dutrow will be betting big on his Kentucky Derby favorite. Dutrow has a history of betting heavily and he won three hundred and eighty four thousand dollars for his one hundred and sixty thousand dollar bet on Saint Liam in the '05 Breeders Cup. Dutrow maintains that like Saint Liam back then, Big Brown is the best horse in his race and the trainer is putting his money where his big fat mouth is. Dutrow has always been a controversial character, but there is no doubting he knows what is what with his horses. The one certainty is that if Dutrow is getting his wallet out for a lumpy bet on Big Brown, then his horse will certainly start favorite in the Kentucky Derby betting.
